Meet Derrica

Derrica grew up in Washington DC. Always having a love and reverence for the extensive history and rich culture that she was exposed to from such a young age.

A graduate from Duke Ellington School of the Arts: Derrica studied under Denise Diggs, Vera Katz and Tracie Johnson. Furthering her studies at Rutgers University, she was passionate about the arts in all forms and learning to understand people holistically as a theater and psychology major. 

She is continuously working and refining her craft and is an alumni at Heidi Marshall Studio, Uta Hagen Studio and Roz Coleman. 

She has appeared in several commercials and plays. 

Derrica is the Founder of Lamont Media Productions which is a full service production company based in New York. Her debut film is a feature Documentary that focuses on the everlasting effects of parental incarceration. 

Derrica seeks to combine her love of storytelling with important social issues to positively impact the next generation.  

Outside of acting, Derrica loves teaching, advocacy work, and hiking. She believes in kindness, honesty and squeezing the hell out of lemons.
